The Controller of Examinations is the single most powerful operational role on an Indian university campus, and also the most blamed. They own the integrity of every degree the institution issues. The COE can intervene by adding evaluators, escalating bottleneck sheets, or, in the worst case, pre-announcing a revised release date instead of being surprised at week six.
